BirdTrax gets recent postings from eBird. As implemented on our website, BirdTrax retrieves ebird lists for the Capitol Region for the past 14 days. It is centered on Vischer Ferry Nature Preserve and encompasses sightings within a 100km diameter (61 miles) circle, the largest allowed.

To make the lists easier to use the following common species do not appear even though they may be in an eBird list: House Sparrow, European Starling, Rock Pigeon, American Crow, Blue Jay, Mallard, Canada Goose, Killdeer, Black-capped Chickadee, Red-Winged Blackbird, Brown-headed Cowbird, Common Grackle, American Robin.
