COVID-19 Response Update, August 19, 2020: The HMBC Board has decided to cancel all club field trips through September 30, 2020, with the exception of the Nighthawk counts on August 24 - 27, 2020 (special guidance applies -- see trip description for details). Details on virtual programs beginning in September will be available soon. We will continue to monitor New York State Executive Orders and guidance related to social-distancing requirements. As the details of orders and guidance are revised, we will re-evaluate whether or not to hold subsequent events. Please check hmbc.net frequently for any updates.

From Albany take I-90 east to exit 8. Then take SR 43 east about 10.5 miles to the intersection with SR 66. Proceed straight ahead on CR 42 (Taborton Rd). After about 8.5 miles turn right on Dutch Church Rd and then take an immediate right onto Miller Rd. Follow Miller Rd to the park. The Capital District WMA basically surrounds the park and provides an extensive birding area. Our book Birding New York's Hudson-Mohawk Region provides a suggested birding route and other very useful information about the area.
